David Pastrňák, nicknamed "Pasta", is a Czech professional ice hockey right winger and alternate captain for the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League (NHL). Internationally, Pastrňák has played for the Czech national team at both the junior and senior levels, including at four World Championships. David Pastrňák's playing career began in his hometown of Havířov, Czechia, where he played for the youth teams of HC Havířov. In 2012, he moved to Sweden to play for Södertälje SK, where he led the Swedish under-18 league in goals (41) and points (68) in his first season.

David Pastrnak is a highly decorated NHL player, having been selected to the All-Star Game three times and winning the Golden Stick Award six times. He has also won the Eddie Shore Award, Elizabeth C. Dufresne Trophy, and John P. Bucyk Award, all of which are awarded to the Bruins' most outstanding player. David Pastrnak Teams

David Pastrňák has only played for one team in the NHL, the Boston Bruins. The Bruins selected him with the 25th pick overall in the first round of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, and he has been a member of the team ever since.

Pastrňák made his NHL debut in the 2014-15 season, and scored his first NHL goal on January 10, 2015, against the Philadelphia Flyers. David Pastrnak's first two NHL goals came against Ray Emery in a 3-1 Bruins road win over the Philadelphia Flyers. He recorded his first NHL hat trick later in the 2017-18 season against the Carolina Hurricanes. In his rookie season, Pastrňák scored 10 goals and 27 points in 46 games. Pastrňák continued to improve in his second season, scoring 15 goals and 26 points in 51 games. In the 2018-19 season, Pastrňák had another brilliant season, scoring 38 goals and 81 points in 66 games. He was named to the NHL All-Star Game for the first time. In the 2019-20 season, Pastrňák had a breakout season, scoring 48 goals and 95 points in 70 games, and was awarded the Maurice "Rocket" Richard Trophy, as NHL's leading goal scorer.

David Pastrnak signed a $90 million, eight-year contract extension with the Boston Bruins on March 2, 2023, in the midst of a historic 2022-23 season. He finished the season with a career-best 61 goals and 113 points, placing second in the league in goals and tied for third in points. The Bruins won the Presidents' Trophy as the best team in the regular season, breaking the league record for both wins and standings points. Pastrňák was widely regarded as the team's standout player and was named a finalist for the Ted Lindsay Award, voted by the National Hockey League Players' Association for the league's most outstanding player. He was also a finalist for the Hart Memorial Trophy, voted by the Professional Hockey Writers' Association for the league's most valuable player, for the first time.

In his career, Pastrňák has scored 301 goals and 617 points in 592 games. Pastrnak is under contract with the Bruins until the end of the 2030-31 season.
