Lando Norris had an interesting reaction to his pole as the McLaren driver claimed a third successful pole position in the last three race weekends. Taking to his team radio, the British driver had an expletive-laden joyful reaction as he secured P1 for Sunday's race.The McLaren star picked up the pole after setting 1:47.934 on the timesheet. He was over three-tenths faster than his nearest rival, Max Verstappen. His teammate, Oscar Piastr,i is in P2 with 366 points, and reigning champion, Max Verstappen is in P3 with 341 points.Norris winning here on Sunday will almost secure his title given he does not have DNFs in the next two races. He currently has a gap of 24 and 49 points to Piastri and Verstappen.
