McLaren star Lando Norris was crowned the 2025 F1 World Champion at the Abu Dhabi GP as Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri failed to overturn the Briton's lead going into the championship. As Norris got out of the car, he embraced his girlfriend, Margarida Corceiro, as the two shared a wholesome moment.Lando Norris led the title by 12 points going into the season finale, and just needed to finish on the podium to become the world champion. Although Max Verstappen took the pole position and dominated the race, the Briton managed to keep hold of P3, making crucial overtakes after his first pitstop, and became McLaren's most recent champion since Lewis Hamilton in 2008.As the race ended, Zak Brown took to the team radio and congratulated the Briton on becoming a world champion. Norris, on the other hand, was all emotional and was shedding tears of happiness. As he reached the start finish straight, he celebrated by performing donuts in the MCL39, before parking up.After getting out of the car, Lando Norris celebrated with his team, family and girlfriend. During the media day at Yas Marina Circuit, Norris confirmed that his friends and family would be at the circuit for the main race. As Norris crossed the finish line, his parents and girlfriend, Margarida Corceiro, were seen celebrating in the garage.After parking up, Lando Norris was first embraced by his family, including his father, Adam Norris and mother, Cisca. The 2025 world champion then went on to embrace his girlfriend, Margarida Corceiro, better known as 'Magui.'The McLaren star was seen kissing his partner before hugging her while both of them were still emotional and crying. The two then shared a few words before breaking the hug, looking at each other, followed by a big smile. He said (via Formula 1's official website): “It feels amazing. Now I know what Max feels like, a little bit and I want to congratulate Max and Oscar, my two biggest competitors all season. It's been a pleasure to race against both of them, it's been an honour. I learned a lot from both of them as well. I enjoyed it, it's been a long year, but we did it.”Max Verstappen won the race but missed out on the championship by two points.
