Toto Wolff was not by Mercedes' side at the Mexican GP, as he was with his wife, Susie Wolff, for her F1 memoir's release. With the couple having tied the knot in 2011, they have been available for each other at every turn of their lives, leading the Austrian to share an emotional message for her wife, who is always by her side, no matter what.
This is Wolff's second wedlock, as he was previously married to Stephanie and had a son and a daughter with her. Despite the initial cordial relations between the two, their marriage fell apart, and the two divorced on good terms.
The Austrian was then back in the dating scene and soon started going out with Susie Wolff. The two hit it off from the get-go and decided to tie the knot in October of 2011.
Moreover, this relationship has helped the pair whenever they have encountered challenges in the motorsport realm. Particularly for Toto Wolff, who revealed how Susie has been with her at the darkest of times, as he said (via The Telegraph):
"Susie’s emotionally much more resilient than I am. She’s mentally stable, somebody I can rely on. I have episodes where I’m really depressed. So I say, ‘I’m a bit like an Arabian thoroughbred. You put me in the cage before the start and I won’t like it at all. But once that thing opens, I run.’ On the other hand, Austria has these famous workhorses. They work the mountains for the farmers, they carry the ballast, they never stop even when it’s snowing. And I say to Susie, ‘That’s you,’"
Meanwhile, the Wolffs celebrated their 14-year marriage anniversary.
Where did Toto Wolff and Susie Wolff have their first date?

Toto Wolff and Susie Wolff have been at the forefront of leadership in F1. The 53-year-old has helped in the resurgence of Mercedes in the sport and oversaw the team winning eight constructors' world titles.
On the other hand, Susie has had extensive involvement in the pinnacle of motorsports and has called for increased female representation in the sport. So, when the all-female F1 Academy series was formulated, she was made the Managing Director of the feeder series to manage and accelerate its growth.
Though the pair are involved in day-to-day operations in F1, their own dating journey began at a hotel in Hockenheim, as Toto Wolff revealed in 2017 (via F1's official website):
"The place where I had my first date with Susie – and that shows that it is not about the place, only about the person. It was the Achat Hotel in Hockenheim."
Toto Wolff is slated to return to the paddock at the Brazilian GP.
