Red Bull revealed its driver lineup for the 2026 season, and Yuki Tsunoda isn't going to stay as a full-time F1 driver next year, with Isack Hadjar stepping up to the senior team. Subsequently, fans reacted to this announcement as they processed the news of the change in Milton Keynes for the next year.
Hadjar made his debut with Racing Bulls this year and was a teammate of Tsunoda. While the Japanese driver was promoted to Red Bull just after two Grand Prix weekends, the Frenchman stayed and learned the nooks and crannies of F1 at the junior outfit.
There, he scored his first podium in F1 and looked to be on course for a promotion to Milton Keynes. Moreover, this prophecy was ultimately made true as Red Bull announced that Hadjar will partner Max Verstappen for the 2026 season.
However, this meant that Tsunoda will lose his F1 seat and will move to a test and reserve driver role for both squads. This resulted in a host of various reactions from the F1 fandom, as fans wrote on X:
"Look at my boy. They massacred him."
"Oh Isack, you don’t deserve to be demoted like this FREE MY ROOKIE FROM THAT SECOND SEAT😭😭😭," one fan wrote.
"He deserved the promotion but that second seat is cursed," another fan wrote.
Fans further added:
"Can’t believe he got demoted ," one netizen wrote.
"Welcome to the cursed seat. Bounce away the jinx," another netizen wrote.
"For his sake, I hope those 2026 regulations make the car drivable for him 😗," another netizen shared their thoughts.
Meanwhile, Isack Hadjar was seemingly a last-minute call-up to Racing Bulls for the 2025 season after Liam Lawson was initially selected to take over the second seat at the senior squad for the first quarter of the year.
Isack Hadjar is ecstatic to make his debut with Red Bull in 2026

Isack Hadjar has made a steep progression in F1. Going from crashing out of his debut race even before it started to claiming his maiden podium, and now moving to a top team in the form of Red Bull.
Reflecting on the opportunity, he said in a press release by the team:
"I’m so grateful to Red Bull Racing for giving me the opportunity and trust to race at the highest level of Formula One. After all the hard work I have put in since joining the Junior Team, it’s such a great reward."
"I feel ready to go to Red Bull Racing and I am happy and proud they feel the same. It’s an awesome move, to work with the best and learn from Max is something I can’t wait for."
Hadjar has scored 51 points in the 2025 season so far, and with one race weekend left to go, he would want to add on to this tally before he heads to Milton Keynes for 2026.
