Hamilton arrived at Ferrari this season after 12 long years at Mercedes, a team where he picked six of his seven F1 titles and claimed 84 wins. Even though his arrival at the most successful F1 team was celebrated widely, the performance on track did not do the talking.

Except for the Chinese GP Sprint win, Hamilton does not have a record to show for in 2025. At the time when his teammate, Charles Leclerc, claimed seven podiums in 21 races, Hamilton had yet to pick one.

As a result, the seven-time world champion and the most successful F1 driver experienced a season he would want to forget. Moreover, this has been one of his worst seasons in terms of statistics.

"It's a nightmare," Hamilton said, summing up his time at Ferrari so far. "I've been living it for a while. The flip between the dream of driving for this amazing team and then the nightmare of the results that we've had."

Formula 1 was in Brazil for the 21st race of the season, but it wasn't one that Hamilton would want to remember for a long time. After Saturday's underwhelming qualifying, the British driver started his race from P13.

However, he failed to get going as he made contact with Franco Colapinto of Alpine and damaged the floor of his car. Moreover, he was given a five-second time penalty for causing a collision, which ruined his race at the Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace.

Lewis Hamilton let his feelings known after disastrous Brazil GP

"I mean, jeez, This is definitely a weekend to forget. It's a shame because I love Brazil and also, you know, just everyone in the team, every single person in the team, they turn up every week and give it their absolute best and to come away with nothing, to not finish a race the second time in the year."

"It's really devastating and I feel terrible for the team. I'm sorry for my part in qualifying, putting myself in that position. I just have to... we'll get back up tomorrow and just give it another go," he further added. (Via Sky Sports)

After 21 races and five sprints, Lewis Hamilton is in P6 of the Drivers' Championship with 148 points. His teammate, Charles Leclerc is a place ahead of him in P5 with 214 points. After double DNFs on Sunday, Ferrari slipped to P4 in the Constructors' Championship with 362 points.
