Lewis Hamilton opened up about the recent media fiasco involving Ferrari president John Elkann. Not pointing out at him directly, the seven-time world champion stated that everyone in the team has to take the responsibility and play their part.

Elkann's recent comment, in which the Ferrari boss asked the drivers to 'talk less and focus on driving,' gained huge traction and gathered a lot of flak. From critics to fellow drivers, Elkann was denounced universally.

Meanwhile Lewis Hamilton, who is always vocal about things on and off the sport, let his feelings known about the same. While not criticising the Ferrari president directly, here's what the former Mercedes star said ahead of the 2025 Las Vegas GP:

"I'm always willing to do less media! But no, seriously, I think we all need to take responsibility in this team and we all need to play our part. And I know that there's so much passion in this team, every single member of this team. I'm incredibly grateful for the extraordinary effort every single person back at the factory continues to put in week on week."

"And naturally, knowing that the team is Ferrari, there's always a huge amount of attention, not always in a positive way, but we're all fully committed to turn this around and I'm fully committed to helping this team rebuild and grow. Every challenge is an opportunity for us to grow and learn and I firmly believe that we will get to where we want to be," Hamilton added.

Lewis Hamilton joined Ferrari this year, after spending 12 long years at Mercedes. At the Silver Arrows, Hamilton claimed six titles, won 84 races, and came out as the most successful F1 driver of all time.

What did John Elkann say about Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc?

Following the conclusion of the Brazil GP, John Elkann slammed the Ferrari drivers, Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc and asked them to talk less and focus on driving. Speaking to the media after the race where both drivers faced a DNF, here's what the Ferrari president said:

"We have drivers who need to focus on driving and talk less. We still have important races ahead of us, and it is not impossible to achieve second place [in the constructors]. This is the most important message, because Bahrain itself is the demonstration that, when everyone at Ferrari work together, we win."

Elkann criticised the drivers and, to some extent, the team after the Prancing Horse failed to repeat their form from last season. They were just 15 points away from claiming the Constructors' Championship last year, and the very next year, they are struggling in P4, and are the only team not to win a race this season.
