Lando Norris is crowned the 2025 F1 Drivers' world champion after beating out Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri to the title. He finished the race down in P3, which was enough for him to take home the drivers' title.
Norris started the season by winning the Australian GP and putting himself in the lead of the championship. Though Piastri made a serious bid for the championship, his bid started to fall apart as the season came to an end.
This helped Norris get into the lead of the standings, but the threat of Verstappen taking the title remained in the background. Moreover, he arrived in Abu Dhabi with a better shot at the title than Piastri.
This subsequently made for a nail-biting season finale in Abu Dhabi. He only had to get on a podium to guarantee him a world championship title. Despite Piastri overtaking him on the opening lap, Norris remained calm and rounded out the podium come the end of the race.
This resulted in Norris lifting his maiden drivers' championship in Abu Dhabi. Overwhelmed with emotions, he said over the team radio:
"Oh sh*t. Thank you guys. Oh my god. You made a kid's dream true, thank you so much. I love you guys thanks for everything. You deserve it. I love you mum, I love you dad, thanks for everything."
Lando Norris ultimately ended the season two points clear of Max Verstappen.
How do Lando Norris' stats stack up after the 2025 F1 season?

Lando Norris started the 2025 season with a race win. Though he was unable to round out his championship-winning campaign with a victory, a championship would surely make up for it.
He scored seven race wins, the same number of victories as Piastri. However, this tally is one shy of Verstappen's wins.
The 26-year-old also scored eight more runner-up finishes and a solitary third-place result. Apart from this, he won two Sprint races and had a stellar championship campaign.
These results helped him muster 423 points that ultimately helped him win the 2025 world championship ahead of Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri. This means that Verstappen's hold over the F1 crown comes to an end, and the Briton would head into the regulations reset as the reigning world champion.
