Lando Norris appeared to kick a fan out during his championship celebration party in Abu Dhabi on Sunday. The Briton grabbed the phone of a person who was repeatedly flashing their camera in his face, before seemingly asking them to leave.Several photos and videos of Norris celebrating his maiden F1 title in the Emirati capital surfaced online. The new world champion was seen partying in a nightclub with friends and fans, singing along and enjoying the moment after securing his first driver's crown.One clip, however, caught the attention of viewers as Norris seemed to lose his temper with a fan standing directly in front of him. The unidentified individual kept flashing their phone camera at the 26-year-old from very close range.Norris appeared to grow irritated and swatted the phone away before asking the person to leave the area. The newly crowned champion said he wants to use the number to show his pride in what he and the McLaren team have achieved together.Speaking to Sky Sports about the matter after the race, Norris explained:"It's tradition, it's there for a reason. It's there because you can go and try grab it and you can work hard to try and get it. All of us as a team that gets to have a role in McLaren, or my car, will get to wear that with pride."It's all my mechanics, my engineers, everyone that's part of McLaren gets to have that acknowledgement too. So, it's not for me, it's for them as well. It's their pride, knowing that they put a lot of work and effort into everything that they can also go 'we're number one'," he added.Max Verstappen also switched to the Number 1 after winning his first title in 2021. It remained on his Red Bull for four seasons as he defended the crown three times before being dethroned by Lando Norris in 2025. Before that, Lewis Hamilton chose to keep his trademark Number 44 on the Mercedes even after winning six titles with the German outfit.
