During last week's three-day event at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez racing circuit in Mexico City, Lando Norris performed in a league of his own. Firstly, he put in a stellar lap in qualifying (Q3) to secure pole position ahead of drivers like Charles Leclerc (P2) and Lewis Hamilton, and then, in the main race, he disappeared into the distance and came away with a comfortable win.

Following his triumph in Round 20, Lando Norris has come up with a fascinating take in regard to the element that helped him in securing a dominant win. Via an interaction with RN365, he has added:

"It's a good question. The car is just quick. It has been the whole season, but clearly, it's still difficult to drive at times. But I think when you just find that sweet spot, it can be down the road and make your life a bit easier."
"It's hard to say what's better about mine than the others, but I've just had a bit more grip, and that's normally always the easiest answer."

Lando Norris has so far amassed six Grand Prix wins and is currently leading the drivers' standings by just one point over McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri.

The 2025 F1 season has been cut-throat in terms of the drivers' championship tussle. Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri have been going at it since the beginning of the campaign, and Max Verstappen has also recently entered the picture following a string of strong performances.

From the point of view of Norris, the Mexican GP win was exactly what he was after, and in line with this, he emphasized his 'straightforward' outing after the end of the race via an interaction with F1.

"What a race. I could just keep my eyes focused, I could just keep eyes forward and just focus on what I was doing. A pretty straightforward race for me, which is just what I was after. Good start, good launch, good first lap and I could go from there."

"This is awesome here... this is unbelievable. My first win here in Mexico, a beautiful one to win, especially here in the stadium. A big thanks to all the fans."

Only four Grand Prix events are remaining on the 2025 race calendar. Next up is round 21, which will take place at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace Circuit (Brazilian GP). The three-day on-track action will take place from 7 - 10 November.
