After winning the Brazilian GP, Lando Norris revealed that he has now stopped paying attention to his critics. The Briton has often found himself at the receiving end of backlash in the F1 realm after he was booed by fans at the past few race weekends.
Norris executed a flawless weekend in Brazil. He first secured the sprint pole and won the race after 24 laps of gruesome racing, while his teammate and nearest championship rival crashed out of the sprint.
Moreover, this momentum continued into the qualifying session, where Piastri was again playing catch-up to his teammate, and Norris claimed another comfortable pole position.
Though the Grand Prix was not a walk in the park, Norris still had a decent enough gap to claim his 11th race victory. This change in the Briton's performance trends after trailing the Aussie for a fair chunk of the year seemingly came out of the blue, and this was asked by Jolyon Palmer in the post-race interviews about how he has found his rhythm in the second half of the season.
To which Norris gave a sassy reply:
"Just ignore everyone that talks crap about you... Yeah, just focus on yourself."
With the sprint win and the Grand Prix victory under his belt in Brazil, Norris took home the most points available for any driver at the Interlagos Circuit.
"A perfect weekend": Lando Norris after winning the Brazilian GP

Lando Norris arrived in Brazil with a minute lead over Oscar Piastri, as the papaya duo were only separated by a solitary point. But, with the 24-year-old crashing out of the sprint race and accumulating a 10-second penalty during the Grand Prix, which caused his fall to P5, Norris was the effective benefactor in this whole saga.
This helped him extend his advantage to 19 points, leaving Interlagos. A crucial result, as only three race weekends are now left before the 2025 F1 season is concluded.
So reflecting on the whole race and enjoying a perfect weekend, Norris said in the post-race interview:
"I was pushing! It was an amazing race and it’s nice to win here in Brazil. It’s an amazing track, amazing fans. This one was for Gil [de Ferran], one of my mentors growing up a couple of years ago. This one was for him – I’m sure he’d be very proud about it all. I was thinking of that while driving. A perfect weekend."
Meanwhile, Lando Norris was paired with Kimi Antonelli and Max Verstappen on the podium. The Dutchman is Norris' other championship rival, who is now 49 points behind the 11-time race winner in the drivers' standings.
