F1 fans have reacted to Nico Rosberg’s warning for Lewis Hamilton after the German suggested that Ferrari's fans could lose faith in the 7x world champion if his struggles continue. The comments came after Hamilton was knocked out in Q1 during the Abu Dhabi GP qualifying on Saturday.

Hamilton became the first Ferrari driver to exit in Q1 in three straight race weekends after finishing P16 in Abu Dhabi qualifying. After the session, the 40-year-old shared a disheartening message, saying, via Sky Sports:

"I don't have the words to describe how I feel inside. It's an unbearable amount of anger and rage."

Hamilton’s former teammate issued a stark warning, saying things could get very difficult for him if his form did not improve and Ferrari started to doubt him.

"It's very scary from his point of view because soon if it continues like this, the team will lose faith in him, the whole of Italy loses faith in him, and that is not far away at the moment."

Hamilton’s result drew even more attention since Charles Leclerc managed P5 in the same SF-25. Hamilton is now on course to finish the 2025 season without a podium unless he produces something extraordinary on Sunday.

Lewis Hamilton said that his Ferrari team deserved a far better result after his Q1 exit in qualifying for the Abu Dhabi GP. The Italian team’s mechanics had rebuilt his car within hours following his crash late in the final practice session.

Reflecting on his qualifying performance on Saturday, Hamilton said, via Formula1.com:

"I think most of the lap was good enough to get through, I just didn’t finish it. The team did a mega job to repair the car. They deserve better, for sure."

As previously mentioned, Hamilton also started the previous two races from the back of the grid after Q1 eliminations in both Las Vegas and Qatar. In Sin City, he recovered to finish 10th and was later promoted to P8 after the McLaren disqualifications. In Qatar, he was unable to climb into the points and finished 12th.

It now remains to be seen what he can produce from P16 in the final race of the ground effect era.
