Lando Norris had an interesting response to Max Verstappen's victory at the Las Vegas GP race. Speaking about the outcome, the McLaren driver joked that he allowed his Red Bull star to have a win at the Las Vegas Strip Circuit race.
F1 was in Las Vegas, United States for the 22nd and third US race of the season. Verstappen of Red Bull claimed the victory ahead of Norris and George Russell of Mercedes. With this, the Dutchman picked up his sixth win of the season.
Verstappen started the race from P2 but took the lead of the race at the end of Turn 1 after Norris tried to cut him off and, as a result, went wide. The Dutchman was in the lead from Lap 1 and ended the race in P1.
Norris, who lost two places, recovered one and went on to finish the race in P2. As the race ended, Norris said about Verstappen after the race:
"I let Max [Verstappen] have a win, let him go, let him have a nice race. No problem, it was my mistake. It was my f*ck up."
George Russell finished the race in P3, ahead of Oscar Piastri and Kimi Antonelli. Charles Leclerc came home in P6, and Carlos Sainz, Isack Hadjar, Nico Hulkenberg, and Lewis Hamilton followed him.
Max Verstappen let his feelings known after winning Las Vegas GP
Following his victory at the 2025 Las Vegas GP, Max Verstappen touched upon the gap he had with Lando Norris in the Drivers' Championship. Speaking about it, here's what he said:

"It's still a big gap, but at the end of Abu Dhabi we’ll see where we end up."
After 22 races and five sprints, Max Verstappen is still in P3 with 366 points. He trails Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri of McLaren by 42 and 30 points, respectively.
Verstappen needs to win the next two races and the sprint to have a shot at the championship. Along with this, the Red Bull driver also needs both Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri have back-to-back DNFs in Qatar and Abu Dhabi.
