VCARB driver Isack Hadjar raged at his race engineer midway through the 2025 Brazilian GP as the French-Algerian driver battled Lance Stroll for the final points position. The Red Bull family's driver started the race in the Top 10, but the strategy put him outside the Top 10 with work to do.

Isack Hadjar was up into the Top 5 after the early chaos at the Brazilian GP, where Oscar Piastri, Kimi Antonelli, and Charles Leclerc made contact in Turn 1. However, the VCARB did not have the outright pace of the faster cars like Mercedes behind them and was eventually overtaken by George Russell.

Max Verstappen, who started the race from the pit lane after breaking Parc ferme and making changes, also overtook Isack Hadjar in the pitstop stages, leaving an effective P7 as the best result possible for the French-Algerian driver.

Many drivers, including Liam Lawson and Nico Hulkenberg, opted for a one-stop strategy, while Isack Hadjar was called in for a two-stop. After the second stop, the VCARB driver was stuck behind Lance Stroll for multiple laps, which led to him raging at his race engineer regarding the strategy.

“Isack head down, we have much better tires,” responded the race engineer
“Don't shout at me, okay? Thank you,” was Hadjar’s response

The VCARB driver eventually made an overtake on Lance Stroll and started chasing Nico Hulkenberg and his teammate Liam Lawson, in what was a DRS train to the end of the race. Hadjar was able to pass the German, but failed to make a move on his teammate, finishing two tenths behind the Kiwi driver.

The 2025 Brazilian GP qualifying led to a mixed-up grid for the race start, with Max Verstappen exiting in Q1 and Lewis Hamilton exiting in Q2. Isack Hadjar ended up in P5 ahead of George Russell. Speaking on big points being up for grabs, Hadjar said,

“It was one hectic session, to be honest! I was honestly fighting the car so much, but we kind of put it all together at the end. It’s still not the lap I wanted, but honestly in these conditions I think we did a good job.”
“We’re starting in an interesting position just behind Oscar [Piastri] and ahead of George [Russell] – obviously they are faster cars. But we’ll give it everything, fight them at the start and then try and score big points – we need it,” he added via Formula 1's official website.

VCARB is in battle with Aston Martin, Haas and Sauber for 6th position in the Constructors' Championship.
