Ferrari's Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton have had cordial relations since the start of their teammate chapter in F1. With the pair soaring high in fans' hearts, one such person had asserted that the scarlet duo is an inspiration for them. Subsequently, the Monegasque paid a cheeky tribute to Hamilton's world titles as he claimed that he still has a long way to go in F1 before reaching the Briton's stature.

2025 marks the first year of Leclerc and Hamilton's teammate era. The latter is the 28-year-old's fourth different teammate in F1, and the pair have seemingly hit it off in the intra-team relations as they have fostered a respectable relationship with each other since the season began.

So, with only four race weekends left to go, Ferrari had accumulated some fan messages for its driver lineup to react to for the team's content. During this, Hamilton read off one fan message, which stated:

"I’m proud of you two and everything you do. You both are an inspiration to many of us. Thank you!"

Leclerc then reacted to the adoring message and shared how he still has to get some world titles under his belt before reaching Hamilton's level in F1:

"We’ll try to continue to be, but I still need to win some titles before being on the same level as LH."

Before Ferrari, Lewis Hamilton used to drive for Mercedes. He had been at Brackley for the past dozen years, and a move to Maranello came out of the blue in the F1 world.

So, reflecting on his own experience and how Hamilton has a daunting challenge for himself to adapt to the Italian giant in his maiden year with the team, Charles Leclerc said before the season began (via F1's official website):

"When I joined, I only had done one year in Formula 1 [with Sauber], so everything was still new to me and I had to learn how a team like Ferrari would work in Formula 1."

“For Lewis, an Italian team is pretty new to him, but he has achieved so much and he arrives here as a legend of the sport. It’s really cool to see what it was like for him to have so much success in other teams and the way they used to work, so on that we’ve learned a lot, and it was really exciting to see how happy and excited he was about the whole thing."

Meanwhile, the scarlet duo sits fifth and sixth in the drivers' standings, helping Ferrari to fight for the runner-up spot in the constructors' standings.
