Second-round matches will conclude on Day 3 (Wednesday, October 29) of the Paris Masters 2025. Cameron Norrie scored one of the biggest upsets in recent times, fighting back from a set down to toppled World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz in the second round on Tuesday.

Alcaraz had won his last three tournaments, and had reached the final of every tournament he competed in since he won the Monte-Carlo Masters in April. While the Spaniard stumbled, Taylor Fritz, Ben Shelton and Andrey Rublev didn't miss a beat and advanced further.

More players will aim to do the same on Wednesday. On that note, here are the predictions for all the singles matches set for Day 3 of the Paris Masters 2025:

#1. Alexander Zverev vs Camilo Ugo Carabelli

Despite a 51-22 record for the season, it feels like Zverev could've done a lot more. He has stringed together some solid results despite some rough patches throughout the season. His only title of the year came in Munich, and he lost to Jannik Sinner in the finals of the Australian Open and last week's Erste Bank Open.

As one of the top eight seeds at the Paris Masters, Zverev received a first-round bye. He will aim to join Novak Djokovic as the only other player to mount a successful title defense in Paris.

Ugo Carabelli beat compatriot Tomas Martin Etcheverry 7-5, 6-3 to make the second round of the Paris Masters. While he improved his record this year to 19-24 with the win, it marked just his fifth win on hardcourts. Zverev also beat Ugo Carabelli 6-2, 6-1 at the Italian Open earlier this year. Given the Argentine's record on hardcourts, he could be on the receiving end of a similar beatdown once again.

#2. Joao Fonseca vs Karen Khachanov

Khachanov beat Ethan Quinn 6-1, 6-1 to make the second round of the Paris Masters. He snapped his five-match losing skid with the win. Fonseca arrived in Paris on the heels of a title at the Swiss Indoors. He staged a comeback to beat Denis Shapovalov 5-7, 6-4, 6-3 in his opener here.

Fonseca took a medical timeout to treat his back in the previous round. With no day off in between, this could put him at a disadvantage if it is a serious issue. Khachanov loves playing here, winning his only Masters 1000 in Paris in 2018. He made the semifinals a year ago and the quarterfinals in 2023. The Russian's record at the tournament tips the scales in his favor by a slim margin despite his recent struggles.
