"It's really tough to say something about this match. We played for our countries and fought a lot for this win. In the end, I realised my dream and we are now in the final. I played an amazing match against a great opponent. I played for all of [the supporters], for all of my team, my family, for me. It is one of the best days of my life.”

In a separate media interaction, Cobolli admitted that he didn't know the score in the tie-break saying (via Davis Cup's official website):

“I asked the team, ‘what's the score in the tiebreak’, because I didn't know, I didn't remember. I won this match because I believed in myself for three hours today. I think I had a great attitude for all the match. Now I’m a little bit tired, but I’m ready to recover for the final.”

With Flavio Cobolli’s win, Italy moved forward into their third-consecutive finals at the Davis Cup. The team will next face the winner of the semifinals tie between Spain and Germany.
