Spain and Czechia will face off in the Davis Cup Finals 2025 quarterfinals on Thursday, November 20.

David Ferrer's Spain registered a dominant 3-1 win over Switzerland in the first round of qualifiers earlier this year. Then they made a stunning comeback from 0-2 down to win the second qualifier against Denmark by a 3-2 scoreline, advancing to the Davis Cup Finals quarterfinals. The Spanish team will be without the World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz, who withdrew due to a swelling in his hamstring after his loss against Jannik Sinner in the ATP Finals 2025 final last week.

Czechia, on the other hand, defeated South Korea 4-0 in the first qualifying round and secured a thrilling 3-2 win over the fifth-seeded USA in the second round, advancing to the Davis Cup Finals in Bologna, Italy. The Tomas Berdych-led Czech Republic are seeded fourth in the quarterfinals and chasing their first Davis Cup title since 2013.

#1 Jaume Munar vs Jiri Lehecka

With Carlos Alcaraz and Alejandro Davidovich Fokina missing the Davis Cup Finals, the World No. 36 Jaume Munar will lead the Spanish charge in the singles match against Jiri Lehecka. Munar lost his singles match against Elmer Moeller of Denmark in the second qualifier in September and is coming off his first-round exit at the Paris Masters last month.

Jiri Lehecka made the headlines in the second qualifier against the USA, beating Taylor Fritz and Frances Tiafoe in the singles matches. Lehecka has had a brilliant 2025 season, reaching the finals at the Queen's Club and Brussels. He achieved his career-high rankings of World No. 17 in September and boasts a 2-0 head-to-head record against Munar.

#2 Pablo Carreno Busta vs Jakub Mensik

Pablo Carreno Busta was not part of the first qualifier against Switzerland. He lost against Holger Rune, but defeated Elmer Moeller to help Spain win the second qualifier against Denmark. Carreno Busta, the former World No. 10, has had an 8-13 win-loss record in the ATP singles this year, and is ranked 89th in the current rankings.

Meanwhile, Jakub Mensik is enjoying his best season on the ATP Tour, having won his maiden Masters 1000 title and breaking into the top-20 rankings for the first time. The 20-year-old defeated Frances Tiafoe in the fifth and decider singles match to help Czechia beat the mighty USA and advance to the Davis Cup Finals quarterfinal.

#3 Marcel Granollers/Pedro Martinez vs Tomas Machac/Adam Pavlasek in Davis Cup Finals

Spanish duo Marcel Granollers and Pedro Martinez will be facing Czechia's Tomas Machac and Adam Pavlasek in the third and final Davis Cup Finals 2025 quarterfinal match. Granollers is the World No. 6 in the men's doubles and has won the French Open and US Open titles with Horacio Zeballos in 2025. However, his Davis Cup partner, Pedro Martinez, has a poor 12-16 win-loss record in the ATP doubles this season and is ranked 90th in the men's doubles rankings.

Tomas Machac, the World No. 118 in ATP doubles rankings, lost his doubles match against the USA in September. He has a 10-12 win-loss record on the tour in doubles this year. Adam Pavlasek, the Czech Republic's top-ranked men's doubles player, reached the third round of the French Open and the US Open this year. He was not part of the Czech Republic's Davis Cup qualifiers this year.

Machac and Pavlasek last played together at the Paris Olympics 2024, where they lost the bronze medal match against Taylor Fritz and Tommy Paul.

Without their top-two-ranked players, Carlos Alcaraz and Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, Spain are facing an uphill task against Czechia in the Davis Cup Finals quarterfinal. Both Pablo Carreno Busta and Jaume Munar have struggled on the ATP Tour this year, having never beaten their respective opponents, Jakub Mensik and Jiri Lehecka.

Spanish fans will hope for a doubles win from Pedro Martinez and in-form Marcel Granollers. Martinez has won both of his doubles matches in the Davis Cup Finals qualifiers, despite his poor record on the ATP tour this year.

Pick: Czechia to win 2-1.
