How to get Ceruledge and Armarouge in Pokemon Legends Z-A Mega Dimension

The release of the Pokemon Legends Z-A Mega Dimension DLC brings a long list of new Pokemon, including the Generation IX Fire-type duo, Ceruledge and Armarouge. These two fan-favourites both evolve from Charcadet depending on the “armor” it is given.

This guide will cover how to find Charcadet in the wild and add Ceruledge or Armarouge to your roster, and how to decide which evolution branch best fits your team.

How to find Charcadet in Pokemon Legends Z-A Mega Dimension DLC

To begin, you will need to capture a Charcadet. To find one, teleport to Restaurant Le Wow in Rouge Sector 2 and find the Hyperspace Wild Zone on the same road.

Enter the portal, and you will find Charcadet roaming around at levels 114-116. Before entering, cook a high-calorie Donut; this gives you extra time inside the portal, increasing your opportunity of catching a Charcadet.

How to evolve Charcadet into Ceruledge or Armarouge in Pokemon Legends Z-A Mega Dimension DLC

Evolving Charcadet isn’t as simple as reaching a certain level; you will need special armor. Depending on which armor you use, Charcadet will evolve into either Ceruledge or Armarouge.

To obtain the armor, complete Side Mission 132: Bitter Blue Flames vs Blazing Crimson. Teleport to Racine Construction in Vert Sector 7. Once there, follow the lane on the left and continue under the bridge. You will then find an NPC named Adver standing next to a Charcadet.

Speak to him and exhaust all of the dialogue. At the end, Adver will offer you either the Auspicious Armor or the Malicious Armor.

Your choice determines your evolution:

• Auspicious Armor: Evolves Charcadet into Armarouge
• Malicious Armor: Evolves Charcadet into Ceruledge

Be careful, though, as you can only choose one set of armor per save file. Once you have the armor in your Satchel, use it on the Charcadet you wish to evolve. After you evolve your Charcadet, complete the side mission by battling Adver - his Charcadet will evolve into the version you didn’t choose.

Pokemon Legends Z-A Mega Dimension DLC Ceruledge vs Armarouge: Which should you choose?

Both evolution branches are solid picks, but have a few notable differences:

• Ceruledge is a Fire-/Ghost-type with high physical stats. If you want to exploit its secondary Ghost-type STAB, Ceruledge is an excellent pick.
• Armarouge is a Fire-/Psychic-type and excels at Special Attacks. If your team benefits from a strong Psychic coverage, Armarouge may serve you better.

In summary, choose the armor based on which evolution complements your team the best.
