• Use your Pokemon that can easily knock down an opposing Wild Pokemon.
• Keep attacking till its health drops to zero, and you see the visual cue that the Wild Pokemon has been successfully knocked down.
• Throw your Poke Ball and catch it before it despawns.

If you can catch it during this small time after it is knocked down and before it despawns, you will have completed the "use the catch window" task. Repeat it as many times as your task requires to complete it fully.
