The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series is the third-tier racing series hosted by NASCAR. The Truck Series is one of the three most important national stock car racing competitions in the USA and features a different collection of cars compared to other racing series. As its name suggests, the NASCAR Truck Series races using pickup trucks. The Truck series has many tracks in common with the other two NASCAR series. However, the races are shorter in length and focus more on dirt track racing. The Truck Series is considered the proving ground for the newer NASCAR drivers. The younger drivers who perform well in the Truck Series get a chance to progress ahead in the NASCAR ladder. The NASCAR Truck Series features 23 races throughout the season. These include seven races, which form the playoffs format. The regular season is used to choose the top-10 drivers according to wins or points and invited into the playoffs. The first three playoff races constitute the Round of 10, and the last two ranked drivers in the top 10 are eliminated. The top eight drivers compete in the Playoffs Round of 8, wherein four drivers are selected for the Championship race. The Championship race is the last race of the season. The final four drivers race in the championship race to decide the ultimate winner of the Truck Series and crown the season champion. The NASCAR Truck Series also features the same manufacturers as the other two NASCAR series. Ford, Chevrolet, and Toyota are known for supplying vehicles in the Truck series. These vehicles are namely- the Chevy Silverado, Ford F-150, and Toyota Tundra. The engines are manufactured by these manufacturers in addition to Ilmor. The Truck Series cars can produce nearly 650 HP. The 31st NASCAR Truck Series season started on February 14, 2025, with the Fresh from Florida 250.
