The Crown of Eyes in Path of Exile 2 is a unique helmet. Apart from adding a decent amount of Energy Shield to a build, it enables you to improve your attack damage through spell damage. It’s accessible fairly early into the game and is one of the best uniques you can use throughout the endgame. As for usability, as long as the character meets the attribute and level requirements, the item is useful across a variety of builds.
This guide will teach you all you need to know about Crown of Eyes, what it does, and different ways to use it in Path of Exile 2.
How to get Crown of Eyes in Path of Exile 2

Crown of Eyes can drop anywhere. However, since it’s a level 45 item, it can only drop from monsters of that level or above. You can also use Orb of Chance on the same item base. Crown of Eyes is a Vermeil Circlet, so if you’re planning to use the Orb, pick up all 'Normal' rarity helmets with the same.
Do note that the Orb of Chance can also destroy the item. The chance of getting the unique is about 0.625%, meaning you'll need at least 160 Orbs. A much easier way to get the item is to purchase it from other players in the in-game market.
Crown of Eyes stats in Path of Exile 2

The Crown of Eyes is a unique Vermeil Circlet with a level 45 character-level requirement and an INT attribute requirement of 64. Similar to most of the uniques, it drops with a predetermined list of modifiers.
- (100-140)% increased Energy Shield
- +(150-200) to Accuracy Rating
- +(10-15) to all Attributes
- -10% to Fire Resistance
- Increases and Reductions to Spell damage also apply to Attacks
Unless it’s corrupted, these are the only mods you can get on the unique. If you are planning to make a build around it, we recommend getting one with a higher base ‘increased Energy Shield’. It will also lower your fire resistance, which can be an issue in the early game, but it's easy to overcap resistances as you get better gear.
Crown of Eyes build usage in Path of Exile 2

The highlight modifier of the Crown of Eyes is its ability to scale your attack damage by increasing spell damage. While you have access to a large passive tree in Path of Exile, the nodes are spread out and mix among defense and utility. It’s not uncommon to find some useful nodes far away from others.
For example, it’s not unusual for a Monk to venture into the Witch’s side of the passive tree for Mana Regeneration and Energy Shield nodes. However, you’ll also find a lot of spell-based nodes, which you can assign without backtracking while using the Crown of Eyes.

However, it is also useful across builds using multiple uniques. A good example of that is a stat-stacking Mercenary using the Irongrasp unique armor that grants two passives, Iron Grip and Iron Will. While Iron Grip increases Projectile Damage by 1% for every 2 Strength, Iron Will does the same for Spell Damage.
Without the Crown of Eyes, you only benefit from Iron Grip, but combining both will allow you to make full use of the armor.
