The Praxic Blade Lightsaber can be upgraded in multiple ways in Destiny 2: Renegades. From changing colors to adding intrinsics and Catalysts, you have several options at your disposal when it comes to the new Exotic Sword. Moreover, players who want to roleplay as an evil Star Wars character are in luck, as the Lightsaber has a red color variant that can be acquired in the game.

This article guides you through the process of getting the Red Crystal for the Praxic Blade, which can turn the Lightsaber to red.

Getting the Praxic Blade's Red Crystal in Destiny 2

To get the Red Crystal, you must run the "Invade" mode within the Lawless Frontiers and face other players. Launch the activity, and you will then be put inside a room with a Taken portal, alongside a Shank that will help you choose your Renegades abilities.

Go through the Portal to start your Invasion timer and hunt down other players.

Your task is to find opposing players and defeat them before the countdown ends. You can also wager for better rewards at the end, but that does not count towards the drop rate of the Red Praxic Blade crystal. Note that you can even fail meeting the maximum kills required for a successful invasion and still end up getting the Red Crystal as a reward.

After you are done with the mission, your character will be teleported to the reward room. Wait for the chest on the left to open up, and you will have a chance to get the Red Crystal as a drop.

There is no way to increase its drop rate, so you must keep running Invasion until the Red Crystal drops as a reward from the chest.

To equip it, make sure to have the "Praxic's Path" Exotic quest completed. Inspect the weapon, and the second tab should allow you to slot in the Red Crystal to change your Lightsaber's color.
