Final Fantasy XIV’s Starlight Celebration 2025 event has begun and will be available for a limited time. Thankfully, players have the rest of December to participate in this short event, pick up some great emotes, and festive items for their houses. It doesn’t require any specific job or class, and once you’re level 15 and have access to New Gridania, you can take part.
The Starlight Celebration 2025 will be available in Final Fantasy XIV from December 17, 2025, at 12 am PT until December 31, 2025, at 6:59 am PT. With the event underway, here’s what you need to quickly put a ribbon on this proverbial bow.
How to complete Final Fantasy XIV’s Starlight Celebration 2025 event
Final Fantasy XIV’s Starlight Celebration begins in Gridania’s Min Khetto’s Ampitheater (Old Gridania, 10.2, 9.4). Speak to Amh Garanjy to pick up the quest “We Three Kinderpunsch”. It doesn’t matter what job you’re equipped with, so run over, speak to her, and watch the cutscene to begin.

She’ll thank you for helping with previous Starlight Celebrations, but I don’t know if that hinges on you actually participating in one. Either way, it’s a nice sentiment, but she needs your help. Head over to the Caroline Canopy stall in the market when you’re ready to proceed. This is done by speaking to the Starlight Stalls Guide in the main holiday area.
When you arrive in the area, speak with Amh Garanjy again, and Miounne will show up to explain everything, as well as thank you for helping last time. This year, there are three types of mugs, based on the three main cities, and three types of Kinderpunsch.

Naturally, you must figure out the right ingredients to make the perfect Kindpunsch for each region. Then, head to the map highlighted above and speak to the NPCs near the market area.
You’ll learn about the various types of hot drinks those regions like, and then report back to Ahm Garanjy. She’ll instruct you to speak to the children in the Starlight Stalls. They’ll talk about their favorite snacks and Kinderpunsch. Return to the NPC you started with, and you’ll be asked to review each Kinderpunsch:
- Gridania: Apple/cinnamon
- Lominsan: Foreign spices and citrus
- Ul'dah: Dried fruits/black pepper in sweet butter tea

You’ll then be locked into an event where the children will come up to you and offer a little hint about what kind of Kinderpunsch they’d like for Final Fantasy XIV’s Starlight Celebration. While you won’t be punished for your choices, here are the correct answers for each event:
- Amiable Boy: Ul’dahn
- Bright Girl: Lominsan
- Bold Boy and Girl: Ul’dahn/Gridanian
- Joultain: Lominsan
Afterwards, return to the Min Khetto Amphitheater to wrap up this quest. You’ll get a nice, little heartwarming moment with Miounne, Amh Garanjy, and Joultain, who wants to grow up to be an adventurer. Your reward will be EXP, Gold, and Ballroom Etiquette - Local Libations. You will also receive the Spices of Starlight achievement.
The Ballroom Etiquette item grants several new emotes:
- Gridanian Sip
- Ul’dahn Sip
- Lominsan Sip
- Gridanian Gulp
- Ul’dahn Gulp
- Lominsan Gulp

You can return and serve more punch if you want, and you can pick from a wide array of familiar faces to serve punch to. They’ll tell you what they want, and it’s a nice bit of fun if you want some extra cutscenes and see familiar faces from Final Fantasy XIV during the Starlight Celebration:
- The owner of the Carline Canopy
- The proprietor of the Drowned Wench
- The proprietress of the Quicksand
- One of the Seedseers
- The lord commander of the Temple Knights
- A representative of the East Aldenard Trading Company
- The satrap of Rasz-at-Han and a diminutive dragon
- A world explorer in search of the unknown
You can also head over to the Starlight Celebrant NPC vendor and purchase a series of the fantastic mugs from this event, and place them in your house in Final Fantasy XIV. They’re cheap (2,500 gil a piece), and come alone or in a stack. The Sundries vendor also sells a wide assortment of dyes at an incredibly low rate as well.
