Call of the Paladin is a seasonal quest in Diablo 4 Season 11 that leads to a side mission called Path of the Paladin. No, this doesn’t unlock Paladin as a class, and while optional, it helps progress your seasonal objectives. If you want all the extra rewards for each tier, you will likely have to start with A Divine Missive, as that’s the first seasonal quest.
However, this seasonal quest does not appear to have any particular season rank requirements. In fact, it only spawned as an available quest once I fast-traveled to a particular location.
While that might not be the case, that’s what happened for me. Here’s what you need to know about Diablo 4 Season 11’s Call of the Paladin/Path of the Paladin quests.
How to complete the Call of the Paladin/Path of the Paladin quests in Diablo 4 Season 11
Call of the Paladin and Path of the Paladin are among your bonus objectives for Rank 1. So while you don’t need to complete these, it’s worth your while to pick up extra gear and other rewards.

When I fast-traveled to Cerrigar, Call of the Paladin became a quest I could track. I was only Rank II with the faction grind, so you might not need to grind very hard to pick this quest up. When you arrive in Cerrgar, track the quest and complete these objectives.
Call of the Paladin:
- Aid the paladin of the Wardens of Light.
- Slay the demons.
The closest fast travel for my money is Jirandai, so teleport there, and ride to the quest marker in the desert. Upon arrival, you must aid the paladin of the Wardens of Light. This is a simple "kill the demons when they spawn in" objective, so demolish them. That completes Call of the Paladin in Diablo 4, and allows you to pick up Path of the Paladin by speaking to Justelle.
Path of the Paladin objectives:
- Speak to Justelle to begin
- Travel to the Forsaken Chapel
- Speak to Justelle
- Follow Justelle
- Search the Forsaken Chapel for clues
- Speak with Justelle
- Slay the demon and cultists
- Speak with Justelle
- Travel to the Infernal Pit in Kejistan
- Speak with Justelle
- Rescue the imprisoned Prodigy
- Slay the Cult Leader
For Path of the Paladin in Diablo 4 Season 11, Justelle is tracking down a group of cultists of Azmodan, who have kidnapped a girl with a connection to the Light. You must help out Justelle, so agree, and travel to the Forsaken Chapel.
You can either ride from here to the Forsaken Chapel or use the fast travel from Tarsarak; it makes no difference. In my case, I was still in need of exp, but either way works.

When you arrive, speak to Justelle outside and then follow her inside. You need to search the Forsaken Chapel for clues, but they’re easy to spot. For convenience, we’ve circled them on the image above. Speak with Justelle to learn that the girl was taken to a pit in Kejjistan.
Before going to the pit, you’ll find a demon and some cultists outside. Slay them to aid Justelle for this part of Diablo 4 Season 11’s Path of the Paladin. Once they’ve been defeated, speak with Justelle again.
To reach the next destination, the Infernal Pit in Kejistan, use the fast travel point for the Iron Wolves Encampment. You’ll find Justelle waiting here, so speak with her when you reach the quest marker.
Run ahead to the pit itself, defeat the cultists, and in particular, the Cult Leader, and then speak with Justelle again. This will complete Path of the Paladin in Diablo 4 Season 11 and allow you to claim another seasonal objective.
