Destiny 2 weekly reset (December 16 to 23): Dawning returns, Equilibrium reset, and more

The third week in Destiny 2: Renegades expansion brings in a new annual event, called Dawning, along with new weapons and armor pieces. The year will be closing with the celebration of winter, alongside the usual resets across various other activities, and another chance for players to shoot at the final Exotic weapon of Equilibrium.

Here is a list of everything coming with the upcoming weekly reset:

Dawning annual event.
New weapons and armor.
Snowball PvP activity.
New weekly challenges in seasonal hub.
New Vanguard alers in the seasonal hub.

1) Dawning annual event

The Dawning event will go live on December 16, and stay on for three weeks, after the new year. Players will get three new Legendary weapons, an armor pieces, a new snowball PvP fight activity, a seal to acquire/gild, and lastly, cookie gifts for all NPCs in the game. Eva Levante, as always, will grace the Tower with her presence, and provide event bounties for EXP and Bright Dust.

Lastly, keep an eye for the event seal, Star Baker, as newer players can obtain it, while veterans who already have it, can gild it.

2) Equilibrium Dungeon reset

The new Dungeon, Equilibrium, will have a loot reset with the December 16 weekly reset. Players eyeing for the final Exotic Machine Gun from the Dredgen Sere boss can choose to run the encounter in all three characters, and have a chance at getting it at the end.

3) Vanguard alerts

You can expect a new Grandmaster alert within the seasonal hub section, with an old weapon in its Tier 5 variant as the final reward. Additionally, weekly challenges for Fireteam, PvP, and Arena alers will be reset.
