Ashes of Creation: How to link your Steam account

Ashes of Creation by Intrepid Studios recently launched in Early Access. It’s a new fantasy MMO title that takes shape according to player choices. The game features eight character archetypes, each with a unique gameplay style. Do note that the game is in Alpha and may have stability issues. Furthermore, changes and future updates can result in a complete character wipe, requiring you to restart your journey.

If you are planning to play Ashes of Creation, it’s available on Steam. However, before you start your journey, you’ll need to link your Intrepid account.

How to link your Steam account to Intrepid to play Ashes of Creation

Despite the recent Steam launch, the Alpha for Ashes of Creation was available only through Intrepid. Since the game is now available on Steam, existing players can add it to their library by linking their Steam and Intrepid accounts.

Here’s how to link your Steam account if you purchased the game through Intrepid

Old players can migrate to Steam through the following process:

Visit the official Ashes of Creation website and log in to your Intrepid account.
Navigate to Account Settings on your dashboard from the menu.
Look for ‘Steam Account’ within the Account Connections options.
Click on Connect. A new page will take you to the Steam website.
Log in to your Steam account if you haven’t already. Make sure it’s the one you want to link.
A new prompt will ask you to sign into ashesofcreation.com using your Steam account.
Click on 'Sign In' and wait for the process to complete.

Once the process is complete, you’ll get a ‘Connection Successful’ notification, and the game will show up in your Steam Library.

The first time you launch the game on Steam, it will ask you to link your Intrepid account. Here’s how you do it:

Launch the game and click the ‘Link Account’ option. A new window will open and take you to the official website.
Sign in to your Intrepid account. If you don’t have one, click Create an account.
A new prompt will ask you to sign into ashesofcreation.com using your Steam account. If it doesn’t, go back to the game and click on ‘Link Account’ again.
Authorize the link and wait for the process to complete.

After getting the confirmation, you can head back to the launcher and enjoy the game. However, if the process was unsuccessful, submit a support request.
