Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1 has introduced a host of major changes and overhauls, including improvements to the UI, new weapons, and many consumables. Alongside these additions, the developers have finally introduced the ability to self-heal, offering solo players a much-needed reprieve. Apart from solo players, it is also great for squads, making each player self-reliant.
In Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1, players can self-revive using the Self-Revive Device, a new tool that can be purchased for 2,500 Gold bars. This item can be purchased from the health vending machines found across the map. Once purchased, it lasts the entire duration of the match and can be used only once.
After paying the hefty amount of 2,500 Gold bars and adding the item to the inventory, players will automatically get the option to self-revive when they are DBNO (Down But Not Out). It will take a few seconds for the device to work its magic, allowing gamers to revive by themselves.

DBNO essentially means when the player is knocked out and is on the ground. Once they are on the ground, gamers will receive a prompt to self-revive and get back to the action. It is worth noting that this self-revive option does not work if the player is eliminated and is replaced by the reboot card.
The ability to self-revive in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1 is great for solo players as well as squads, granting each player the power to dive back into the game without waiting for their teammates or giving up. Apart from the self-revive, the drivable reboot vans have also made it easier for players to get rebooted with ease, making each match more high-stakes than ever.
