Fortnite's new leaked map will remind you of Call of Duty

According to the latest Fortnite leaks, Epic Games seems to be working on a new map that will remind players of Call of Duty. Discovered by @Egyptian_Leaker and @KPMisParrot, the duo posted images of an unfinished map on which players will be able to challenge each other to duels. While it's still early in development by the looks of things, it has the makings of something great.

That said, here is everything we currently know about this leaked map and how it will resonate with Call of Duty players in Fortnite.

Fortnite's new leaked map will allow players to 1v1 in the "Gulag"

As per the details at hand, Epic Games is working on a new experice called "Gulag 1v1 Arena." Something similar to what Call of Duty players got to experience in Warzone. However, instead of fighting for their freedom in the Gulag, to be able to respawn on the map, this experience will be more combat-oriented by the looks of it.

Based on the leaked images, it seems that the location is underwater. It features narrow corridors, large open areas, and many corners to shoot from. This is the opposite of the Gulag from Call of Duty, where players had a limited amount of space to fight.

This setting also features some verticality, as there is a staircase going up. Players will also be able to choose their weapons, as there is a weapon spawner in the starting area. By the looks of it, players will have some time to prep before the 1v1 can begin, something similar to what we see in Ballistic.

This experience could feature Builds, but in all probability, it will be Non-Builds since the space is limited and combat is the main focus. Building would prolong rounds and drag things out. Finally, much like Ballistic, this could be in first-person, since the layout of the map resonates with those listed in the aforementioned mode.

On an ending note, as to when the mode could be released is unknown. Development of new experiences takes time, and with Chapter 7 Season 1 being the focus, everything else is secondary in many ways. We could get more information about the mode as the new Season progresses.
