The Fortnite downtime today (December 11, 2025) is scheduled to begin at 4 AM ET. Matchmaking (the ability to queue for a match) will be disabled 30 minutes before downtime begins. If you're in a match, you will be able to finish it, but all modes will be taken offline thereafter. The game will be inaccessible until the update has been rolled out.

The Fortnite downtime today (December 11, 2025) is expected to last approximately one and a half hours (90 minutes). The servers will go offline at 4 AM ET and should be back online by 5:30 AM ET. Epic Games will provide an update when the servers are live again.

Content changes for Fortnite update v39.10

The first change in terms of content is undoubtedly the Ninjago update that will be part of LEGO Fortnite. It will contain new biomes, POIs, weapons, resources, enemies, abilities, and much more. Characters from the crossover will also be present as Outfits to be used in Battle Royale and other modes.

Next up, we have new Icon Series Outfits incoming with this update. There's Playboi Carti, Courage JD, and Kim Kardashian, who appeared out of the blue. All three will be listed in the Item Shop over the weekend. Two Cups (tournaments) are also slated to kick off on the weekend. Players could obtain the Courage JD and Kim Kardashian Outfit(s) early by participating and scoring enough points.

Fortnite OG Season 7 will also kick off once the Fortnite downtime today (December 11, 2025) ends. Sgt. Winter is expected to make a comeback alongside the Ice King, who hasn't been seen since Chapter 1. Lastly, we may see a new mode called "Quints." It will feature a 5-player Squad and will have Builds and No-Builds.
