Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1 has introduced a completely fresh map along with a new dropping system where players surf through the sky before suddenly launching with their glider. While exploring new locations is fun, not all of them are ideal if you are aiming to win, especially in competitive matches. Landing at a poor spot can put you at a major disadvantage early on.
That said, here are the four worst landing spots to avoid in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1.

Worst landing spots in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1, ranked
These landing spots are ranked based on loot availability, risk of getting eliminated early, lack of healing options, and more. Just like the previous Fortnite seasons, the map is likely to get some changes in future content updates, and considering that, the list is subject to change.
4) Classified Canyon

Classified Canyon is a huge named location with a lot of open land but very little cover. There are not many buildings or structures to hide behind, which makes you an easy target the moment you land.
The loot is also disappointing since there are more ammo boxes than actual chests. You can easily find much better landing spots nearby that provide safer early fights and more reliable loadouts.
3) Slice O' Shore

Slice O' Shore is a landmark located on the far east side of the map, just a few hundred meters south of Fore Fields. At first glance, it may look like a quiet and safe landing spot, but it offers almost no advantages.
The loot at this location is very limited, especially for duos or squads. Moreover, it's also usually outside the first few storm circles, which can make early rotations extremely difficult and stressful, especially when you did not get proper loot. There are no mobility options around the area either, so even if you manage to loot, catching up with the zone becomes a problem.
2) Battlewood Boulevard

Battlewood Boulevard is a brand new named location, and currently one of the most crowded places to land. Dozens of players drop here every match, which makes your chances of surviving the first few minutes very low.
The area is also large and confusing, so it is easy to get overwhelmed by fights coming from multiple angles. While the loot itself is great, the risk is simply too high. If you are trying to play for wins, this is one of the worst places to land.

1) Sunset Falls

Sunset Falls is a landmark located north of the Innoloop Labs named location and is arguably the worst landing spot in this season. The area has very few chests and almost no useful loot sources. If you land at the bottom of the waterfall, rotation becomes a nightmare since you need to swim far south and then take a zipline to reach the upper terrain again.
The location is also surrounded by several popular POIs, so you are almost always in danger of getting third-partyed. Because of the bad loot, poor positioning, and terrible rotation paths, Sunset Falls currently sits at the bottom of this list.
That concludes the list of the worst landing spots on the Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1 map.
