WWE made it very clear that the 2025 WarGames match would feature a team led by the Vision clashing with CM Punk and members of the OG Bloodline, now on RAW.

Most episodes of the show ended with a beatdown and a save from the heroes, or the heroes getting toppled by the numbers game. That happened on SmackDown after Jimmy Uso predictably joined his brother, Punk, and Cody Rhodes.

Roman Reigns has opposed the group sporadically due to his part-time schedule. Most people assume he'll be the final member of the team.

What happens if he isn't? The next four WWE stars could replace Reigns on Team Punk at WarGames.

#4. LA Knight makes a big decision

The Megastar has also been clashing with Seth Rollins and the Vision since the summer. He challenged for the title in a four-man match at Clash in Paris, but Rollins won with help from the Vision.

Knight has had issues with Punk and Jey Uso for the last few months, as Jey began listening more to Reigns than to himself or the fans. Bron Breakker cleanly defeated The Megastar during his last match on RAW.

If Roman Reigns doesn't compete in WarGames, Knight's involvement would make a lot of sense. Bookers could use the existing tension with Jey and Punk, and tease a heel turn at various points.

#3. Carmelo Hayes moves up the card at WarGames

While not on the level of notoriety of the rest of the stars on this list or Team Punk, Carmelo Hayes finds himself in the path of Bronson Reed and the Vision. The two face off on next week's SmackDown in the Last Time is Now Tournament.

Reed already claimed he'd run through Hayes and Team Punk at WarGames, and then retire Cena. Hayes won't roll over, and could find himself with backup in the form of the Usos and Rhodes.

It would be a great boost for Hayes to join the ranks of three stars who have won major gold in 2025. The former NXT Champion is a player for the future, and Breakker has been posited as the future by the heels.

#2. Randy Orton backs up his friend

Randy Orton has been quietly absent from SmackDown for the last month and change. He's been The American Nightmare's staunchest ally since his return to WWE.

The two have faced each other and battled as allies, even doing so in WarGames in 2023. With how Rhodes inserted himself into this year's match, it wouldn't be a shock if The Viper joins his side yet again inside the cage.

It would be much better, however, if he finally turned on his friend and potentially Team Punk if Roman Reigns doesn't compete.

#1. John Cena's first WarGames match is his last

John Cena may have to worry about the Intercontinental Championship and his Retirement Tour, but he will compete at Survivor Series: WarGames one way or another.

He represents the past, and the Vision has been adamant about preserving the future of the wrestling industry. Drew McIntyre despises Cena, making his feelings felt ahead of this year's Elimination Chamber match.

The hero team already has both World Champions, so why not have the Intercontinental titleholder join them if Reigns opts not to compete? It would give him a prominent spot on the final Survivor Series card of his career.
