WWE crammed a lot into RAW from Boston. Triple H kicked off the show and introduced John Cena. Both the Women's World Championship and WWE Women's Tag Team titles were on the line.

Nikki Bella turned on Stephanie Vaquer after she defeated Raquel Rodriguez. Sheamus and Rusev advanced in the Last Time Is Now Tournament after defeating Shinsuke Nakamura and Damian Priest, respectively.

Gunther's return was announced as he'll face NXT's Je'Von Evans in the tournament next week. Solo Sikoa gets the honor of facing a mystery opponent, just like LA Knight.

AJ Styles and Dragon Lee wanted new opponents, while Maxxine Dupri said she was ready to face Becky Lynch. Lynch responded by hitting Dupri with a cheap shot. WWE made the next three mistakes on RAW from Boston.

#3. Too much talking just to get to Cody Rhodes

CM Punk understandably came out with a vengeance after Logan Paul decked him last week. He normally would have cut a great promo, but came to Boston for a fight. Paul then came out and said the same things he always says.

Paul Heyman followed The Maverick, with his main contribution being an insult to Punk's wife, AJ Lee. The Vision then followed to rush the champion, but he was joined by Jey Uso.

If that wasn't enough, Cody Rhodes' hero complex took over as he saved both men. The segment was to officially kick off the run to WarGames.

Another problem is that neither of the major titles will be on the line in San Diego. If that's not enough, it also heavily tips the scales in the heroes' favor since Roman Reigns is likely to join them.

#2. Not saving a return for next week's RAW

The reason for having the women's tag title match in the main event was to set up two returns and the announcement of WarGames. IYO SKY returned to RAW after a few weeks away following her feud with The Kabuki Warriors.

Instead of saving Rhea Ripley's return for next week at Madison Square Garden, she overshadowed SKY's return by also coming back. Ripley could have returned next week, with the WarGames announcement being made after her save.

Doing so would have spaced out the announcements for both cage matches. It felt like writers crammed every idea they had onto this episode of RAW instead of spacing things out.

#1. John Cena's Intercontinental Title win doesn't close the show in Boston

It made sense for John Cena to open RAW from Boston, as it was the last time he'd be in his hometown for the show. It was all set up for Dominik Mysterio to interrupt and defend the Intercontinental Championship against the GOAT.

However, it was the first match of the night, rather than the main event. Cena won, and it sucked all the emotion out of the arena for the match between Damian Priest and Rusev.

Had the title victory closed the show, fans may have been more invested in the pairing. The Kabuki Warriors won the tag team titles in the main event, officially setting things up for the women's WarGames clash.

Cena becoming a Grand Slam Champion was a much bigger moment, even with Ripley and SKY both returning. Considering the venue, it should have closed the show.
