John Cena's final opponent at Saturday Night's Main Event (SNME) still hasn't been locked. The Last Time is Now tournament is in its quarter-final stage, with eight superstars competing for it. Solo Sikoa and Gunther have already made it to the semi-finals this week on RAW. On SmackDown this week, LA Knight will square off against The Miz, while Jey Uso will face Rusev to secure their spots in the next round.
However, if we closely analyse, then we might zero in on a name that has good chances of making it to the finals and winning it. WWE has given a few indications that this superstar could be John Cena's last opponent next month at SNME.
And his name is Solo Sikoa. The MFT leader has made it to the semi-finals of the tournament by winning over Penta this week on RAW. And we have a few indications that tell us that Solo Sikoa will indeed be the man winning this contest.
#4 John Cena has unfinished business with Solo Sikoa
John Cena has a story with Solo Sikoa that hasn't reached its conclusive end yet. The two faced each other in a singles match two years ago, at WWE Crown Jewel. The contest ended on a dismal note for Cena. He was not only defeated but was destroyed by Solo Sikoa in that match. The Street Champ subjected Cena to multiple Samoan Spikes before finally pinning him down.

That was also a very embarrassing moment for Cena's fans. Therefore, to reclaim his lost glory, Cena would look to once again face Solo Sikoa in a match. He might have already given his decision to the WWE team, and as a result, Solo Sikoa could well end up winning the contest.
#3 Solo Sikoa’s strong booking and Penta’s injury may force WWE to change the plans
Solo Sikoa is one of the strongest participants in the contest after Gunther. With his cohorts backing him in every match, the former United States Champion is capable of winning the tournament. He has a 6 ft 6 in giant Hikuleo around him. Then he also has J.C. Mateo and the Tongans around him. These people would do anything at the moment to elevate Solo in the roster.
Moreover, Penta's untimely injury may also force WWE to make some major plan changes. It ain't clear as to what WWE was planning with Solo and Penta's match on RAW. If the company had booked Penta as the winner, his injury would have forced the creative team to make some big changes. Maybe Solo could be given the advantage of this injury, and he is pushed to the finals of the tournament, and then ultimately declared as the winner.
#2 Solo Sikoa is the youngest wrestler in the tournament
Another sign that Solo Sikoa could win the tournament is that he is also the youngest superstar among all the other superstars present in the tournament. LA Knight, Jey Uso, Gunther, and Rusev are much older than him.
Since John Cena has earlier put over Solo Sikoa, he would like to do it once again for the 32-year-old superstar. Solo's credibility has taken a hit recently, after he lost some crucial matches. To restore his credibility as a heel, Solo Sikoa would need a win against John Cena, and The Champ might not hesitate in putting him over in the last match. Cena has in the past put over superstars like Austin Theory, Solo, Kevin Owens, and Roman Reigns. Therefore, putting over Solo Sikoa won't be a tough task for him.
#1 WWE may not want John Cena to lose his final match
Solo Sikoa could also end up as John Cena's last opponent, also because the company wouldn't want Cena to end his journey on a losing note. John Cena has, throughout his career, abided by whatever his bosses have told him to do. Therefore, Triple H may not want to end Cena's innings with a defeat, and would let him beat Solo Sikoa and equalise the tally with him.
This booking would be far better than booking Gunther to lose to Cena, because that would kill the entire momentum of the former World Heavyweight Champion.
The Austrian Scion recently retired Goldberg in his farewell match at SNME a few months back. He certainly wouldn't want to lose to John Cena and take a hit to his credibility in WWE. The company can book Solo Sikoa as the winner of the tournament, and then get him to lose to John Cena at SNME next month.
