As we get ready for the fourth-biggest Premium Live Event of the year (or fifth, depending on who you ask), we have some huge news about the reason why Batista hasn't been inducted into the Hall of Fame, a massive name set to return after nearly half a year away, an interesting backstage update on AJ Lee and something she recently did, and we will finish off with a huge Survivor Series scoop that just so happens to relate to WrestleMania 42.

So without going much further, let's jump right into it:

#4. A massive Chad Gable update after his injury in June

Chad Gable has been out of action since June 2025, when he suffered a shoulder injury (rotator cuff) that led to him getting surgery. As a result, his iteration of El Grande Americano came to an end, and Ludwig Kaiser took it and ran with it in a huge way.

Gable has been one of WWE's premier talents for a while, and one who many believe deserves better than what he has gotten. Either way, booking issues aside, you might be surprised to learn that Chad Gable is already reportedly at the Performance Center in Orlando training for a return. This is according to a report from PWInsider. The report further stated that he is expected to return sooner rather than later.

This is great news and quite frankly, surprising, as a torn rotator cuff that required surgery would normally keep anybody out for a while. It was assumed that he wouldn't be back for the foreseeable future, but that might just change.

#3. The reason why Batista isn't in the WWE Hall of Fame yet

Batista was all set to be the headlining inductee of the class of 2020 WWE Hall of Fame, but plans changed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In the subsequent years, the Hall of Fame has been headlined by the NWO, The Undertaker, Rey Mysterio, Paul Heyman (who went on first), and Triple H.

It begs the question as to why there has been a delay, especially since there is no question that Batista deserves a Hall of Fame induction. According to Sean Ross Sapp on The Fightful Report, there has been only one reason throughout the last five years as to why it has been delayed - scheduling.

The scheduling issues are likely due to Batista's Hollywood schedule. In case you didn't know, Batista has been on fire in Hollywood in the last few years, and it's no surprise that there is an abundance of work for him in the industry. He has been praised by many as the greatest wrestler-turned-actor ever, and with his in-ring career coming to a storybook end in 2019, it has been all guns blazing for The Animal.

It's only a matter of time before his induction happens, and it looks like the only issue is timing.

#2. Backstage reaction to AJ Lee's recent podcast with Stephanie McMahon

AJ Lee did her first podcast since her WWE return after a decade, and it was with Stephanie McMahon. In the initial social media promo of the podcast episode, they jumped right into the controversy that occurred a decade ago when AJ Lee called Stephanie McMahon out for what seemed like a hypocritical tweet about equality in the sports entertainment giant.

According to a report on Fightful Select, many backstage were surprised that AJ Lee appeared on Stephanie McMahon's podcast, as they expected that the controversy on Twitter would have been buried in the past.

However, AJ Lee stated that her only condition to do the podcast was to address the issue. Thankfully, things have come a very long way in the last ten years, so props to Stephanie McMahon for handling it head-on.

#1. A WrestleMania 42 tease to be made at Survivor Series: WarGames?

This Saturday at Survivor Series 2025, ten women and ten men will be going to war in what is set to be a stacked stadium show in San Diego. In the Men's main event match, in particular, things are set to be even more interesting as there is the most star-studded line-up one could possibly imagine.

On the men's side, Team Vision will comprise Drew McIntyre, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Logan Paul, and Brock Lesnar against Roman Reigns, CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, and Jimmy Uso. According to Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE is likely going to tease one of the marquee WrestleMania 42 matches and set it up at WarGames.

It's unclear which match this could be. When news of this broke online, fans went back to the go-home episode of RAW this past week, where Roman Reigns vaguely teased going after either the World Heavyweight Title held by CM Punk or the WWE Title held by Cody Rhodes. So for now, the speculation is that it's either going to be Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes 3 or Roman Reigns vs CM Punk.

For all we know, there could be a complete throw-off, and another match altogether could end up being teased at WarGames.
