Let's begin:

#5. Suspended star aligned with The Vision on WWE SmackDown

Last week, Drew McIntyre crossed a line on the blue brand when he Claymored an official in the show's main event. The Scottish Warrior was removed from the building, and Nick Aldis suspended the two-time WWE and one-time World Heavyweight Champion for his heinous actions towards an official.

On the latest edition of SmackDown, Aldis allowed Paul Heyman to pick any superstar he wanted for his WarGames team. In the show's main event, Drew McIntyre stopped a two-on-one attack on Logan Paul and sided with The Vision for the upcoming gimmick match in San Diego, California.

#4. Roman Reigns is reportedly set to return on WWE RAW and align with CM Punk's team

After he was embarrassed by The Usos in a one-on-one match against Bronson Reed in Australia, Roman Reigns has been on a hiatus from the weekly product. Meanwhile, The Vision removed Seth Rollins and added Logan Paul into the mix heading into Survivor Series 2025 in San Diego, California.

According to Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Radio, John Cena won't be the fifth member, and instead, Roman Reigns will fill in and align with CM Punk and Cody Rhodes in California. Punk and Reigns worked the same gimmick match last year in British Columbia.

#3. Charlotte Flair quits the Women's WarGames team on WWE SmackDown

Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair dominated the tag team division across the weekly product before they lost the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship to The Kabuki Warriors, Asuka and Kairi Sane, on the red brand. However, it got worse for The Goddess on the blue brand.

In the opening segment, Charlotte Flair abruptly revealed that she's uncomfortable teaming with Rhea Ripley and quit the Women's WarGames team. The Queen believes Mami is a snake and doesn't trust her, and left her tag team partner high and dry following the title loss heading into San Diego, California.

#2. Two major WWE names could join the Women's WarGames match - Reports

A few months ago, Becky Lynch's constant demeaning of CM Punk brought AJ Lee back in the Stamford-based promotion as a performer for the first time in over a decade. The two real-life couples settled it in the middle of the ring in a Mixed Tag Team match at Wrestlepalooza in Indianapolis.

After the event, The Geek Goddess went on a hiatus from the weekly product, and The Man continued working in the women's division as the Women's Intercontinental Champion. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (WON), Lee and Lynch were originally planned to be on opposite teams in the Women's WarGames match. It'll be interesting to see if they're added to the match in the coming weeks.

#1. Former WWE star Fandango, aka JDC, announces retirement

Fandango was once a rising star in the Stamford-based promotion under the old regime when he defeated Chris Jericho at WrestleMania 29. In the coming years, he became a part of a comedic tag team across the weekly product, and Breezango once held the NXT Tag Team Championship.

After his release from the Stamford-based promotion in 2021, he became Dirty Dango on the independent circuit and eventually made TNA Wrestling his new home in the industry. On the recent edition of IMPACT, JDC announced that he's going to retire from in-ring competition in January 2026.

The 42-year-old star thanked WWE, TNA Wrestling, and the fans for believing in him and stated that his final match will take place at TNA Genesis. It'll be interesting to see what's next for The System and which star will be JDC's final opponent in the company.
