Welcome to another exciting edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's WWE News and Rumor Roundup for 2nd December, 2025. Today, we'll look into the cancellation of a major match involving Roman Reigns, a Hall of Famer's sudden return to the ring, and The New Vision following Survivor Series 2025.
Let's get started:
#5. A major match involving Roman Reigns was canceled, according to ex-WWE star
Roman Reigns was once unstoppable in the Stamford-based promotion as The Tribal Chief conquered every major name in the company alongside The Bloodline as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. However, Karrion Kross teased a feud with the 40-year-old star upon his return to the company, but it never transpired.

In a conversation with Scaredy Cast, The Herald of Doomsday revealed that the idea of him, Drew McIntyre, and Roman Reigns in a Triple Threat match was considered. However, a certain someone's return behind the scenes axed the idea and completely cancelled the possible match.
"I had heard a few different variations of what was supposed to happen with that. One of the variations was like a potential triple threat between me, Drew, and Roman when we first came back. But somebody else came back to the company and got involved with creative shortly after us and completely killed that," Kross said.
It would've been interesting to see Karrion Kross get a high-profile feud and a match against The Original Tribal Chief back in 2022.
#4. The Judgment Day is stronger than ever on WWE RAW
The Judgment Day was barely surviving on the red brand, as the faction members lost all their gold except Dominik Mysterio's AAA Mega Championship. However, the tide turned for the villainous group when Liv Morgan returned to the company following her injury and helped Dirty Dom recapture the Intercontinental Championship from John Cena.
On the latest edition of Monday Night RAW, Morgan made her intentions clear following her return to the red brand and reunited with the group. In the show's main event, the ladies of The Judgment Day were on the same page and took out other teams, including The Kabuki Warriors, hinting they want the gold back. Later, the former Women's World Champion gave Roxanne Perez the title to hold alongside Raquel Rodriguez.
#3. The Vision confirms a new member on WWE RAW
The Vision changed completely once Bron Breakker attacked Seth Rollins and Bronson Reed, and Paul Heyman sided with the rising star over The Visionary following WWE Crown Jewel in Australia. Later, Logan Paul decided to help the group against CM Punk, and eventually, Drew McIntyre and Brock Lesnar joined the fray.
In the latest edition of Monday Night RAW, The Vision came out to gloat about their win in San Diego. During this, Paul Heyman claimed that Logan Paul fits perfectly into what The Vision has in mind for the future of professional wrestling and confirmed that he's officially a member, not an associate of the group like McIntyre or Lesnar.
#2. Reason behind the masked attacker aiding The Vision at WWE Survivor Series 2025 - Reports
The Vision, along with Brock Lesnar and Drew McIntyre, conquered a team of All Stars at WWE Survivor Series 2025 in San Diego, California. Moments before Breakker speared Punk for the win, a masked assailant appeared out of nowhere and stomped The Second City Saint.
While several reports have claimed it's Austin Theory, Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Radio stated that the reason Theory attacked Punk was to elevate him as a major name when he gets unmasked and joins The Vision on the red brand.
He further added that the former two-time United States Champion was originally supposed to be in the gimmick match, but the surprise spot would help his character more than competing in a match following months of absence and in a field of established names in the company.
#1. WWE Hall of Famer Jushin Thunder Liger stepped out of retirement
It's not out of the blue for wrestlers to step out of retirement, as several legends and veterans in the past have returned to the ring for various reasons. In 2020, Jushin Thunder Liger lost a tag team match at Wrestle Kingdom and retired from in-ring competition. Later, WWE honored his contributions and added him to the Hall of Fame in that same year.
Recently, the NJPW legend and multi-time champion stepped out of retirement to face Joey Janela at WrestleCade SuperShow. Surprisingly, the match lasted less than two minutes, and Linger won the contest with ease. The match was likely a one-off, and the WWE Hall of Famer will most likely return to retirement.
