However, during a recent edition of the All Axxess podcast, John Cena's father said that he doesn't want either Gunther or LA Knight as his son's last opponent. Instead, Cena Sr. wants Hall of Famer Kurt Angle to come out of retirement to face The GOAT.

"I really wish that Kurt Angle was able to get back in the ring, because that would be an outstanding last match for Cena and Angle. And I say this all the time, I really truly believe that [Baron] Corbin should not have been Angle’s opponent for his retirement match — it should have been Cena."

#4. Bayley discussed her retirement plans

During a recent edition of The Undertaker's Six Feet Under podcast, Bayley said that once she retires from in-ring competition, she might become a backstage producer in World Wrestling Entertainment. The Role Model also revealed that she has produced stuff in NXT a few times.

"I don’t know creative-wise if I would be in the writer’s room or anything good like that. Maybe producing. I would enjoy that. This Monday, I sat for the girls’ match with the headset. I’ve done it a few times. I produced stuff in NXT. It’s very hard. I don’t know if I’d be a good producer right now. I see myself more as a coach or, if I were to open a school," she said.

Uhh, as part of our partnership, you may see Joe come back and be on TNA shows, cause that's just part of what we do with WWE and NXT is we share wrestlers. [So, he's a WWE wrestler now?] That's right... I'm super happy for Joe. I'm super happy for WWE. We kind of all worked on it together, and you know Joe's a great talent and a super good guy," he said.

#2. WWE wants to put a title on Brock Lesnar in 2026

Brock Lesnar has returned to WWE TV in 2025 with a bang. This year, The Beast Incarnate has put on some incredible performances inside the ring, including his latest participation in the Men's Survivor Series: WarGames Match.

Sources within WWE have informed Sportskeeda that the Triple H-led creative team have big plans for Lesnar in 2026 as they are looking to put a major championship on the legend next year. However, this is just an idea, and nothing has been officially confirmed yet.

"So there are whispers right now about the plan for Brock. He's not gonna be on TV for a bit, but when he's back, he's gonna be explosively back. Apparently, a big championship could be in the works for next year, but that's still just a very slight idea. They may not push for that, because the idea is that he does not need a championship, really, right? But 2026 is looking like a big year for him, both for who he faces and who he loses to."
