Triple H started a new era of WWE on this week's episode of RAW. However, even amidst the disappointment, the CCO has sent a secret message through the show.Triple H has prepared fans for life after John Cena, and it does not look goodWWE RAW started off on a promising note as Gunther came out to insult John Cena early in the show, and do some impressive heel work. However, in a typical move, he was immediately kicked out of the show, and the hottest star in the company right now was not seen again for the rest of the night, wasting the heat surrounding him. There was a Women's World Championship match that did not get a conclusion thanks to Nikki Bella interfering, and an Intercontinental Championship match, which, while a good demonstration of how far Maxxine has come, did little to actually tell any story, as the lack of chemistry between her and Ivy Nile was evident. On top of that, there was the big revelation that Triple H has been building up, with the masked man revealed as none other than Austin Theory, a name everyone knew was the likeliest to be under the mask.If ever there was an example of Triple H subtly sending a message, this was it, and it's not a good sign for his new era.Triple H told fans he does not care about themThe Game directly told fans that he does not care what people on the internet think, and that's what happened on tonight's show. Of all the stars who could be under the mask, the revelation of Austin Theory was the least interesting after it had already been speculated. Under Vince McMahon, the final twist in each storyline is what kept fans coming back again and again. However, Triple H just told the fans that he does not care if they already know who it is, and if they find it underwhelming, he is not going to change any stories about it.Already under criticism for John Cena's last match's finish, this might have been the biggest nail in the coffin of his new era before it even began.Triple H's new era is a wrestler-first eraUsually, this would not be bad news. Wrestlers do deserve the best. However, this time, it is coming at the cost of telling an interesting story.Stories and entertainment have taken a backseat in this new era of pro wrestling, and The Game only cares about putting on good matches. And with a Netflix deal nailed on, the ratings don't matter as much as before either. So why will he care?Heading into WrestleMania, after the last one let everyone down in a big way, he has the biggest responsibility in front of him - to tell a story. Unfortunately, it looks like he may not care enough to do so.
