The Wyatt Sicks have caused tension and disagreement between Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins over the past few months, and that continued this week on SmackDown, ahead of their WWE Tag Team Title defense next Friday.

In a backstage segment last night, The Street Profits, along with B-Fab, acknowledged their differences and committed to overcoming them, saying that next week, they won't just be fighting for the titles, but for each other.

However, at this point, regardless of what Dawkins and Ford may say to each other or to themselves, it is hard to believe that one could happen without the other. Unless The Street Profits win the WWE Tag Team Championship next Friday in Perth, fans might see a huge breakup on SmackDown.

Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford have been together since their NXT days, forming The Street Profits in 2017. When they joined the main roster, they quickly gained popularity and became fan favorites, winning multiple tag team championships.

However, the pandemic disrupted their momentum, and injuries, along with poor presentation, also hampered their progress. When The Usos became Undisputed Tag Team Champions, it seemed like a major blow to the ceiling that other tag teams had long been limited by.

The situation is different now, but in a highly competitive division, when The Wyatt Sicks hold the titles and use psychological warfare to this extent, it can be difficult to regain the top spot.

From a booking perspective, this will finally allow Triple H to commit to a breakup, one that has been a long time coming despite The Street Profits' chemistry and success.

The Street Profits may have run their course as a tag team, and that could mean something for SmackDown next week

Ever since their arrival on the main roster, fans couldn't help but notice the charisma and athleticism that Montez Ford brings. Angelo Dawkins continued to impress more over time as well, and a singles run for each of them, especially Ford, always remained an enticing prospect.

Since Triple H took over the leadership of WWE Creative, the company has had massive stars with unprecedented support, and understandably, he has avoided breaking up The Street Profits to prevent them from getting lost in the shuffle.

At a point when most of these huge stars are now around 40, it might be time for The Game to take the risk and finally push some of his NXT favorites into more prominent spots, especially on SmackDown.

The SmackDown tag team division is filled with talented NXT/indie stars known for their incredible work rate. With Dawkins and Ford, who have all their experience and are still only in their mid-30s, now might be the time for Triple H to finally go all-in and place that bet. That could result in a massive breakup as early as next week.
