CM Punk's team lost to The Vision's squad in this year's Men's WarGames Match despite putting in a great effort. A mystery attacker used Seth Rollins' finisher on Punk, allowing Bron Breakker to deliver a massive Spear to The Second City Saint to secure the victory for his team. This incident has raised numerous speculations among the wrestling community and the fans online about who the face behind the masked and hooded figure could be, as it's obviously not Seth Rollins, who has recently undergone surgery. However, the real reason why Team CM Punk lost the WarGames match might be bigger than just the mystery attacker. It could be due to the absence of a key member that should have been in the star-studded lineup in San Diego: Sami Zayn.Sami Zayn is unbeaten in WarGames MatchesSami Zayn has never lost a WarGames Match, and he holds a record of three wins and zero losses in all.In 2022, Zayn emerged victorious as part of The Bloodline's squad. The following year, he teamed up with Cody Rhodes and other babyfaces, again coming out victorious. Last year, as part of the Original Bloodline, his team won once again. However, the 41-year-old superstar wasn't part of this year's WarGames Match and seemed a bit upset about it, but wished his "Samoan brothers" well for the bout. This has led viewers to suggest that, despite the mystery man attacking CM Punk, the outcome could have been different had Zayn participated in the 10-man showdown.Sami Zayn could have used his experience in the matchMany believe that the WarGames Match relies more on experience and not just strength and agility. Apart from Jey Uso, Sami Zayn was the only person who had battled in the double-ring steel cage every time, since Survivor Series was rebranded to Survivor Series: WarGames in 2022.With his experience and tenacity inside the ring, the babyfaces could have benefited from working with him in San Diego. There is a strong possibility that had he been part of the bout, he would have helped CM Punk's team emerge victorious in the last WWE premium live event of the year.Although it's unlikely that the 41-year-old would have secured the victory for his team, he has a reputation for sacrificing himself for his team in most of his matches. Hence, there is a high chance he would have done the same last Saturday. He could have used the opportunity to reunite with Roman ReignsSami Zayn's participation in the annual event this year could have done the magic, as there is a great possibility that he could have utilized the opportunity to reconnect with the OG Bloodline (Roman Reigns and The Usos) before the bout. Interestingly, this could have later paved the way for the re-formation of the stable, with Zayn once again stepping into the role of the "Honorary Uce."With his inclusion, the babyface team would have been more coordinated in the showdown, as they lacked cohesion in San Diego. Sadly, for Zayn, that was not the case.
