WWE's creative team has been working tirelessly to craft John Cena's retirement match later this year at Saturday Night's Main Event XLII. The sports entertainment juggernaut is currently hosting a tournament, The Last Time is Now, to determine Cena's final opponent.
The last edition of Monday Night RAW saw Solo Sikoa and Rusev advancing to the semifinals. The go-home show for SmackDown, which will air tonight, was pre-recorded last week. It featured two bouts to determine the semifinalists for the tournament.
Some fans in the live crowd recorded the show and leaked the results on social media. The information ahead contains spoilers. As part of the tournament, Jey Uso faced Rusev and defeated him to advance further.
Moreover, The Miz officially replaced Sheamus and faced LA Knight. The Megastar pulled off a huge victory, beating The A-Lister. That said, now The Ring General will face The Street Champion in the semifinal on the December 1 episode of the red show, and Knight will lock horns with The YEET Master on the December 5 episode of the blue brand.

John Cena is set to defend his WWE title this month
Ahead of his retirement bout at Saturday Night's Main Event XLII. The Cenation Leader is booked to defend his newly won Intercontinental Championship in a rematch against Dominik Mysterio. Cena defeated "Dirty" Dom to become a Grand Slam Champion on Monday Night RAW from Boston earlier this month. The King of Luchadors disrespected Cena and Triple H, leading to the title showdown.
The Chain Gang Soldier will lock horns with Dominik at the upcoming Survivor Series: WarGames 2025 Premium Live Event, with the Intercontinental Championship on the line.
With several possibilities looming, it will be interesting to see what plans the Triple H-led WWE creative team has in store for the 48-year-old superstar in the coming weeks. Only time will tell.
