WWE recently held back-to-back shows at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. A recent report suggests that the company was unhappy with one of the shows for one major reason.

The biggest wrestling company in the world returned to Salt Lake City on Friday and Saturday. SmackDown was held first, followed by Saturday Night's Main Event. The blue brand show was a Halloween special, while SNME had four title matches on the card.

According to Fightful Select, the reason WWE was unhappy was due to the low number of ticket sales for SmackDown. Many fans were reportedly moved down to the lower levels, while the upper deck was tarped off. This is a common practice within the company, as well as other promotions like AEW and TNA Wrestling.

SmackDown featured several matches like Ilja Dragunov vs. Nathan Frazer for the United States Championship, Nia Jax vs. Alexa Bliss, and Tama Tonga and JC Mateo vs. the Motor City Machine Guns. Tiffany Stratton and Jade Cargill, as well as Drew McIntyre and Cody Rhodes, had segments to hype up Saturday Night's Main Event.

Additionally, Cultaholic reported that the ticket sales for Saturday Night's Main Event were much better. CM Punk defeated Jey Uso in the main event to become the new World Heavyweight Champion.

Two huge WWE names missing from Saturday Night's Main Event

According to Fightful Select, Triple H and Bruce Prichard were not backstage at Saturday Night's Main Event. It's unclear who was in charge of the show, but two of the most important people were absent.

They were backstage the previous night on SmackDown, along with Road Dogg, who has been absent the last two weeks. Road Dogg is WWE's current Senior Vice President of Live Events and the lead writer for the blue brand.

Triple H is the head of creative and Chief Content Officer, while Prichard is the Executive Director for both RAW and SmackDown. They have been open to delegating tasks, even for bigger shows, which is far from how Vince McMahon ran things.
