If recent reports are to be believed, WWE was forced to cancel some monumental plans for Roman Reigns due to some unforeseen circumstances. The Original Tribal Chief allegedly pitched that he would win the Men's Royal Rumble 2026 match, followed by a clash against a now-injured Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 42.
Since WrestleMania 41, when Paul Heyman betrayed Reigns to align with Rollins, it was clear the two megastars would go to war down the line. However, those plans seem to have been derailed following The Visionary's shoulder injury that forced him to relinquish the World Heavyweight Title and go on a hiatus.
Reliable insider Ibou revealed on Self Made Sessions that the plan was to have Reigns win the Rumble next year and then have the showdown with Rollins.
"The way it was set up was going to be, they were going to slow build to Roman Reigns winning the Rumble, facing Seth Rollins, beating Seth Rollins, winning the championship. Bron was going to turn on Seth after Mania, ‘F*** you. You’re out of The Vision. I run The Vision now.’" (H/T - ITR Wrestling)

Roman Reigns also pitched to lose to Bron Breakker
Ibou also disclosed that Roman Reigns had pitched a storyline that would see him feud with Bron Breakker after WrestleMania 42. He added that Reigns was keen on dropping the World Title and put over Breakker at SummerSlam 2026.
"And Bron Breaker was going to, I’d imagine this part wasn’t like concrete, like how we get there, but I’d imagine he’d win the King of the Ring. But either way, he and Roman were going to fight at SummerSlam. And Roman was going to put Bron Breaker over at next year’s SummerSlam.”
Even though a match against Reigns might not happen anytime soon, Bron Breakker is getting a shot at CM Punk's World Heavyweight Title on January 5, 2026, on RAW to mark the show's first anniversary on Netflix.
