Gunther tapped out John Cena via a Sleeper Hold at SNME to end the 48-year-old's career, and the fans in attendance were not happy. The crowd booed following the end of the match and also heckled The Cerebral Assassin as he made his way to the ring to congratulate Cena on an incredible career.

According to a new report from Fightful Select, Triple H was reportedly smiling backstage as fans were angry about the controversial finish to the match. The report noted that his backstage reaction was very similar to what he did while on camera when fans were booing him.

Former WWE writer takes massive shots at Triple H

Wrestling legend Vince Russo recently took several major shots at Triple H and his creative for the company.

Vince Russo became a storyline investor for Juggalo Championship Wrestling (JCW) and recently appeared on the show to send a message to The King of Kings. He blasted the 56-year-old for botching Karrion Kross' run in the company and suggested that The Game was jealous of the former WWE Superstar.

"There's a guy currently running the WWE. And his name is Triple H. And guess what? He used to be a wrestler. So what that means is Triple H has an agenda. He likes some of the guys on the roster, and doesn't like some of the guys on the roster, and he has an impact on the show he runs. Because if that's not the truth, then explain to me about Karrion Kross... Triple H knew Karrion Kross was going to be a bigger star than he was," Russo said.
