Penta was part of "The Last Time Is Now" quarter-finals last night against Solo Sikoa and put on a decent show for several minutes before he was injured while performing a Hurricanrana off the barricade.

The WWE newcomer dislocated his shoulder as part of the spot, and WWE then used the ad break to allow the medical team to assess him before deciding to call off the match.

According to The Wrestling Observer, Penta asked the medical staff to put his shoulder back for him, but they refused, and the match was scrapped. It seems that Penta wanted to continue, but WWE made a call to cancel and allow him to have his shoulder properly fixed.

Notably, the match was called off eight minutes early since it was believed to have had a scheduled run time of 12 minutes. Solo Sikoa was always scheduled to win the match and go to the semi-finals, which happened, but in a much different way.

What's next for Penta on WWE RAW?

Penta could be out for several weeks with his dislocated shoulder, since it will need some time to heal after being put back into place. Hopefully, he can head home for Thanksgiving and spend the holidays relaxing before returning in the new year.

This has come at a tough time for the star since he was just starting to climb the ranks on RAW. However, he could still be a contender for The Royal Rumble next year and make an impact on the road to WrestleMania.

Moreover, if he wasn't set to win the match, WWE's medical team made the right decision in the long term, since it wasn't worth the risk.
