Chad Gable has been missing from WWE since June, when he suffered a shoulder injury that required surgery. Gable suffered a rotator cuff injury, which meant that he was forced to step aside and allow El Grande Americano to be portrayed by someone else. Gable underwent the surgery and has since been rehabbing, with the latest update from PWInsider noting that Gable is back at WWE's Performance Center and could now be pushing for an imminent return. Gable's role as El Grande Americano has been taken by Ludwig Kaiser over the past six months, but it could now be time for Kaiser to return to Gunther's side and Gable to take back his mask. Gable isn't the only person who has been off-screen following his injury, since Ivy Nile and American Made haven't been able to feature on RAW. Will Chad Gable return following WarGames? It seems that Gable is heading towards a return now that he is back at the Performance Center and could be just pushing through the last steps before he is able to return to TV screens. WarGames is already stacked, and it's unlikely that he will return before Survivor Series, but there could be a way for Gable to be inserted back onto WWE RAW before the end of the year. That being said, it's not out of the question for Chad Gable to remain away from RAW for a few more weeks and instead make his return as a surprise in the 2026 Royal Rumble. His shoulder injury could be all but fixed at the moment, but it's unclear what WWE's plans are to reintroduce him back into RAW, since Americano now has his own stable and has been appearing on AAA. It will be interesting to see how WWE is able to explain if there is a change made.
