WWE ended Survivor Series 2025 with multiple huge cliffhangers. One of them was the finish of the Men's WarGames Match, which saw a masked man enter the cage and hit a Curb Stomp on CM Punk to help The Vision win.

Multiple reports have stated that the mystery attacker is Austin Theory. The former United States Champion has been absent from WWE television for months, but looks set to be unveiled as The Vision's newest member on RAW. However, this wasn't the original plan for him.

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Daily Update, Theory was originally supposed to be a part of The Vision's WarGames team. He and Jacob Fatu were set to be a part of the match, before The Samoan Werewolf's injury caused a ripple effect that left the 28-year-old star off the scheduled lineup.

Fatu was replaced by Cody Rhodes, who was supposed to defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre at Survivor Series. The two of them were instead added to their respective WarGames teams, with Austin Theory being removed and replaced by McIntyre.

Despite the change, Theory did appear during the Men's WarGames Match at Survivor Series, albeit without anyone knowing it was him.

WWE Hinted At The WrestleMania 42 Main Event At The End Of Survivor Series

We mentioned there were multiple cliffhangers at the end of Survivor Series. The second one happened after the match, as Roman Reigns had a tense moment with Cody Rhodes.

He told The American Nightmare this was the last time they would ever team up. Rhodes looked confrontational towards Reigns throughout, which suggests that they could be set to revisit their classic rivalry. The OTC did hint at going after a World Title after Survivor Series.

Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes will reportedly main event WrestleMania 42, with the Undisputed WWE Championship on the line. This would be their third 'Mania main event against each other, with both stars winning one each. It remains to be seen, though, how the match is set up.
