On RAW this week, it was revealed that Slater and Je'Von Evans will be teaming up against AJ Styles and Dragon Lee at Saturday Night's Main Event that same weekend, which explains the reason for his withdrawal.According to reports from Fightful Select, before the match announcement on RAW, sources within wXw have said that Leon Slater's withdrawal cited "scheduling" issues, but the promotion also noted that the appearance for the show was agreed between Slater and the company as far back as March, with them even working around the X-Division Champion's TNA dates to book him.Following the announcement on RAW, the same sources noted they expected this but would've preferred if WWE had given them a heads-up instead of putting Leon Slater in an unfortunate situation, since the company viewed the 25th anniversary show as one of its biggest events of the year.
