A World Champion lost his title at a show last night. Now, there are reports that he did not answer texts and calls after that and did not show up for his scheduled appearances.Mike Santana Had His World Championship Taken From HimIt took forever for Mike Santana to win the TNA World Championship. It was a long, not particularly easy journey to get there. He finally managed it at Bound for Glory last month, after a long build-up where he always fell short. It was a massive moment for everyone, but definitely for him. Unfortunately, even after he won the title, he would not hold it long. Only 32 days later, at TNA IMPACT, he lost the title. His match against Ryan Nemeth was interrupted after WWE NXT stars invaded and beat him down. He was left lying as Frankie Kazarian then came out and cashed in the Call Your Shot Gauntlet on him, getting an immediate match against him. The star tried his best, but lost the championship. The call was controversial, as Santana had become a crowd favorite over the past year. His losing the title so fast did not go down well with fans, and as per speculation, not with Santana himself either. In an earlier report, PWInsider stated that Santana did not appear for his scheduled meet-and-greet after the episode in which he lost the title. On top of that, the report stated that he was not answering the company's messages or calls either. With the star set to take part in the Turning Point PPV tonight, at 2 PM EST, he was still not present at the show. The call time for the show was at 1 PM. His not turning up on time has stoked further speculation. Of course, there could be other reasons for his being late, with everything else being unconfirmed rumors. It could also be a part of a storyline angle. As per Fightful Select, the entire thing is a work.UPDATE: Former World Champion Mike Santana Has Shown Up For The Turning Point PPVAs of this article, another update by PWInsider has confirmed that the star has now shown up for the event. He did show up late for the event. He was said to be backstage.Chris Featherstone also corroborated the earlier report.Dr. Chris Featherstone, Ph.D. @chrisprolificLINKwas told that Mike Santana did not participate in Thursday night’s post-show Meet & Greet. He also has not arrived at Full Sail University, and Talent call-time was 1pm, nor has he replied to TNA calls or text messages.
